Nor-Tech starts with enterprise-grade components designed for high-performance computing environments. We use ECC memory, server-class RDIMMs or LRDIMMs where appropriate, enterprise storage media, quality power supplies, and proven platform designs to improve reliability, expandability, and long-term serviceability.
Testing, 1, 2, 3
Before shipment, Nor-Tech helps customers install and test their applications, libraries, job scripts, and production workflows. This allows the customer to validate the system using real workloads while the cluster is still in our facility, helping accelerate production readiness after delivery.
Our quality is well-documented
- Nor-Tech provides a complete set of user manuals and network topology guide, including all MAC and IP addresses.
- Nor-Tech provides a Visio drawing of rack layout including cabling.
- Nor-Tech can provide Asset Tagging and Asset Spreadsheet (Including Asset#, Serial#, Warranty info, MAC addresses, etc) to meet our customer’s needs. Our servers have serial numbers pre-populated in DMI for easy management.
- Nor-Tech labels all cables with identification tags on both ends.
We’re with you every step of the way
- Nor-Tech performs a 72-hour burn-in using LINPACK prior to shipment.
- Nor-Tech sets up custom BIOS settings.
- Nor-Tech configures and validates remote management access, including BMC/IPMI settings, so administrators can monitor, manage, and recover systems remotely.
- Nor-Tech can do onsite Unboxing, Setup, Node Racking and cluster testing at client location.
And into the future

- Nor-Tech can provide a parts closet located at client location (including spare motherboards, memory, hard drives, power supplies, etc)
- Our clusters all ship with Storage Guard to alert clients before their clusters run out of space
- Nor-Tech clusters perform ambient temperature monitoring and reporting which first alerts administrators of excessive ambient temperatures and if temperatures keep rising then performs a graceful shutdown of the cluster. This feature can save your cluster if your air conditioning fails.
